geat2GO and Tunstall
geat2GO is an Australian Government initiative under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), which provides eligible Australians access to a range of helpful devices and equipment to support their independence and daily living.
Through geat2GO, approved requestors can access product information and advice, compare items, and place orders. Clinical advice and resources are also available for aged care assessment teams, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals to help them identify the best solutions for their clients.
Accessing items via geat2GO
- Clients must first be registered with My Aged Care and eligible for the CHSP in order to access their GEAT funding via geat2GO.
- Clients must provide their consent and a My Aged Care referral code to the registered health professional placing the request on their behalf.
- Registered health professionals can request products for their clients using the geat2GO request portal – https://geat2go.org.au/.
- The request is then processed and an order placed with the relevant supplier.
- The item order is fulfilled and dispatched to the client, generally within 14 days.
What can Tunstall provide via geat2GO?
As an approved Supply Partner for geat2GO, Tunstall can provide the Gem4 mobile personal alarm, with two monitoring options available.
The Gem4 can be monitored 24/7 by our team of Care Consultants, or it can be monitored by the clients’ own designated contacts.
Tunstall 24/7 Monitoring
Our monitoring service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Once the Gem4 is activated the call connects to our Customer Care Centre, where one of our trained Customer Care Consultants will answer and arrange assistance accordingly. The Gem4 can be monitored in both Australia and New Zealand, providing additional flexibility for travellers.
Monitored by Loved Ones
If the Gem4 is monitored by the clients own contacts, when activated the Gem4 will send an SMS to all contacts and then call each nominated contact in sequence. This process is repeated two more times or until someone answers.
